Itinerary

Day 1: Athens – Astana
Flight via an intermediate stop to Astana, the futuristic capital of Kazakhstan.

Day 2: Astana
City tour including the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, the Grand Mosque, Bayterek Tower and the impressive Khan Shatyr.

Day 3: Astana – ALZhIR
Visit the ALZhIR Memorial Complex, the National Museum and the futuristic Nur Alem Centre.

Day 4: Astana – Almaty
Flight to Almaty and city tour including Panfilov Park, Zenkov Cathedral, the Museum of Musical Instruments, Green Bazaar and Kok Tobe Hill.

Day 5: Charyn Canyon – Kolsai Lake – Saty
Excursion to the spectacular Charyn Canyon and Kolsai Lake, followed by overnight stay in Saty village.

Day 6: Kaindy Lake – Karakol
Visit Kaindy Lake with its sunken forest and cross the border into Kyrgyzstan, arriving in Karakol.

Day 7: Karakol – Cholpon-Ata
Tour of Karakol including the Dungan Mosque, the wooden Russian Cathedral and Przhevalsky Museum. Continue to the open-air petroglyph museum near Issyk-Kul Lake.

Day 8: Issyk-Kul – Burana – Bishkek
Boat ride on Issyk-Kul Lake, eagle hunting demonstration, visit to Burana Tower and arrival in Bishkek.

Day 9: Bishkek – Tashkent
City tour of Bishkek including Ala-Too Square, Victory Square, the Museum of Fine Arts and the National Philharmonic. Flight to Tashkent.

Day 10: Tashkent – Khujand
Travel to Tajikistan and explore Khujand, including the fortress, the Historical-Archaeological Museum, Panjshanbe Bazaar and Arbob Palace.

Day 11: Istaravshan – Sarazm – Panjakent
Visit historic Istaravshan, the UNESCO-listed archaeological site of Sarazm and ancient Panjakent, known as the “Pompeii of Central Asia”.

Day 12: Iskanderkul Lake – Dushanbe
Travel to Iskanderkul Lake, known as the lake of Alexander the Great, then continue through Anzob Pass to Dushanbe.

Day 13: Dushanbe – Hissar Fortress
Tour of Dushanbe including the National Museum, Botanical Garden and bazaar. Excursion to Hissar Fortress and transfer to the airport.

Day 14: Athens
Arrival in Greece.
