Trip Description
Madrid and Toledo invite you to discover two of Spain’s greatest cultural treasures. Explore the vibrant Spanish capital with its Royal Palace, elegant squares, world-renowned museums and outstanding culinary scene. Then visit the enchanting medieval city of Toledo, perched above the Tagus River and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Those wishing to see even more can join the optional excursion to Segovia, famous for its magnificent Roman Aqueduct, fairy-tale Alcázar and authentic Castilian charm.

Itinerary

Day 1: Athens – Madrid
Flight to Madrid and panoramic introduction to the Spanish capital. Stops at Plaza Castilla, Las Ventas Bullring and Retiro Park, followed by a walking tour through Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and San Miguel Market.

Day 2: Madrid & Prado Museum
Guided visit to the world-famous Prado Museum featuring masterpieces by Velázquez, Goya and El Greco. Continue through Madrid’s historic districts with free time for tapas, shopping or an optional visit to the Reina Sofía Museum.

Day 3: Toledo
Full-day excursion to the UNESCO-listed city of Toledo. Explore its medieval streets, visit the magnificent Cathedral and the Church of Santo Tomé, home to El Greco’s masterpiece The Burial of the Count of Orgaz. Return to Madrid.

Day 4: Free Day or Optional Segovia Excursion
Enjoy a free day in Madrid or join the optional excursion to Segovia to admire its impressive Roman Aqueduct, fairy-tale Alcázar and charming historic centre.

Breakfast and transfer to Madrid Airport for your return flight to Athens.
